People Change
What would you do if a girl asked you to be a maid of honor in her wedding--a you have only known her for a couple of months?
What would you do if the girls husband does not like you and treats you like nothing when ever you stop by to bring a gift or celebrate with them?
What do you do when the girl has changed so much from her marriage that you don't recognize her any more?
And what do you do when she tells you she is going to have a baby, and she has known for 4 months and everyone knows, but the maid of honor? The one that stuck by her side for so long and now is being pushed away because of a husband that has never liked her from the beginning of the relationship.
What do you do? If you know, tell me because right now I feel really hurt...

#49
Okay, you know how I said that I am a fast talker and I blur words together...well, I am also a fast reader. Speed reading is great because I can get through an entire book in one night, but I also misread lines when going so fast...hence...I misread #49
My dear friend Brian...
My dad taught me how to shoot 22 Rifles since I was a little girl :-)
Out of my cousins, uncles, aunts, and siblings...I am the best shooter. They call me Annie Okaley :-)
So, I am sorry that I misread #49. I LOVE to shoot guns...though 9mm scare me because they have a really bad kick to them :-)
Anywho, I would love to go shooting with you sometime. Give me a call.

Can you say "Awkward"
If you know me, then you know that I sometimes say things that can come out scandalous or awkward and I believe this happens for three reasons:
1. I try to stay as innocent as possible and sometimes I don't realize that what I say can have a completely different connotation.
2. I talk REALLY fast and put words together or leave words out.
3. Sometimes I forget to think before I speak
So let me just tell you something I said to a 12 year old boy last week...
As most of you know, last week was Spring Break for many local school districts. Because of this, many leaders and staff brought their kids into the office. Well, last Tuesday I had 4 people to interview and worked an 11 hour day. That morning at 8am, a lady came in for an orientation and interview and brought her 2 young kidlets with her. It was going to be about 45 minutes so I showed the 2 boys all the board games and coloring books we have. One of the little boys knows me from Kid's Quest and asked me if he could play with the Gameboy that is in the bucket (it was still in the box-unopened). I of course told him "yes" and opened it up for him. I didn't know there were Gameboys in there so I looked in the bucket and found a mini Playstation too. Having the 2 kids play a quiet game so I could talk to their mom was awesome and I was really excited that I can tell other people about the games.
Later that day, around 4pm, there were 3 Junior High teens helping us with photocopying and other "fun" stuff. One of the teens (Ian) came over to Liza--who sits behind me-- and told her that he was bored and the other girls (one being his sister) would not let him help with the copying. I faintly heard this conversation because I was focusing on my emails and KQ tasks that needed to be done. When I heard Liza tell him that she has nothing to do and that his mom won't be back for another hour, I quickly turned around and said,
"Ian, there are a bunch of playboys in the orientation room."
10 seconds later, it struck. What did I just say?!? I turned back to Liza and Ian and both had bright red faces and jaws dropping to the floor. I was SO embarrassed that I started laughing hard and fell out of my chair. I then told them, "Sorry, I was reading an email and didn't hear what I just said." Well that made it worse because Liza exclaims, "What kind of emails do YOU get!!!" Friends, I have NEVER been so embarrassed. Poor 12 year old Ian--SORRY!
So, as a safety precaution to you, please do NOT add Gameboy and Playstation together--it comes out REALLY bad :-)
~Tammy
PS-- I did talk to his mom about what I said...didn't want her to hear it from any other source. She thought it was HILARIOUS TOO!!!

The Killers Concert
Okay friends, you are going to be SOOOO jealous. I went to The KILLERS concert last night and it was AMAZING!!!
My good friend Audrey got pre-sale tickets for only 35 dollars each. If you are a huge Killers fan like we are, then you know that tickets are next to impossible to come by. We got pre-sale tickets back in January and almost everything was sold out--which is totally understandable because they are SO good :-)
Anywho, my cousin Mimi, and my two friends- Audrey and Jessica- all went. We, by the way, looked amazing and had such an easy time getting up to the Staples Center. There was NO traffic (it took us 40 minutes) and we got right in. Since there were 2 opening acts before they came on, we ate at a little concession stand. I saw that the kids meal comes with chips, hot dog, soda and candy (which was a fruit roll-up, lol) and was only 4.50!!! Audrey got a hot dog too, and her hot dog was the same size as mine--only she got the adult deal and paid more than I did--and I got chips, soda and a FRUIT ROLL-UP :-) She was SO mad--haha
Well, we went in and saw the second act-- The Howling Bells-- and they were absolutely horrible! Her voice hurt all of our ears and when she said it was their last song--after playing 9! Everyone in the crowd cheered--so sad. So if you see they are playing somewhere, DON'T GO!!!
Finally The Killers came on at 10:15 PM--we got there at 7:45. The opening was great and EVERYONE sung to the music--what an experience. As you know (because it is true), the lead singer-Brandon Flowers- has an incredible voice. but live, he is 100 percent better--I didn't even think that was possible. I just wish we were a little closer because he is H.O.T. HOT! I could not believe all the energy he had. The band also had fantastic energy. They played for an hour but then came out for 2 encores (playing 7 more songs!!!)
I did not even get home until 1:30 this morning and I don't even care if I got 4 hours of sleep. I got to see The Killers--I am just one lucky girl :-)

BLADES OF GLORY + Wisdom of the Week #1
So I recently went to see Blades of Glory with my awesome friends Kim, Meg, and Brian. It was so great hanging out with them and seeing a comedy flick. Within the first couple of minutes we were laughing our heads off and really enjoying it. We ended up having an hour and a half of good times and it ended with sparking blades flying off into the sunset. Overall, I would say when I left the theater I gave it a 4 out of 10 stars. Why 4?--you may ask...
Well, I am not a huge fan of cursing in almost every sentence and most (if not all) jokes had sexual innuendos--most were just flat out disgusting and blunt. So friends, if you have any kids--please DO NOT let them see it!
After the film, us girls (Brian left so please do not think I was calling him a girl) went to eat...okay so it was 10 at night and I was HUNGRY--so sue me! I hate eating so late and the only place open was Denny's. But oh me oh my do they have a delicious Root Beer Float--mmmm.... "Needless to say" I left Denny's feeling fat and hurting from all the grease. Why did we eat that--God only knows... So here is my first offical "Wisdom of the Week" for you all..
If you get out of the movies and it is past 10, you can go to Denny's just don't get the Sampler!
And that is all for my "Wisdom of the Week"
Love,
Tamsicle
